Knowing a Foreign Language

knowing a foreign language is most important for me. For example, there are lots of companies which require their workers to have proficiency in two languages, especially English. Most of the companies see foreign language ability as the basic requirement in our society now, it can be help our find the good job and play a very important part in our society.

In my opinion, we cannot afford to neglect the importance of foreign language. It enables direct communication with a foreigner; for example, however, a horrible experience. Whenever I thought of that, I felt sacred. One day , I have an opportunity to talk with a foreigner in my senior high school at KFC, but I do not understand what he says and what he needs. Unfortunately, that is a painful experience, but it made me aware of how I need to strive for the better.

Sometimes we need to understanding of another culture or gives access to a foreign literature; for instance, we studying "The Bible" and discuss the difference between "The Old Testament" and "The New Testament". The reading experience is not only increased my ability to understand foreign language literature and culture but also set my foundation on it.

Foreign language is very useful if you want to study in another country. With the language skills, it is easier to express your ideas to others; for example, people have different points of view about some subject; therefor through the communication of local language, it will be possible for us to express ourselves freely; indeed, different views enrich our opinions and the world.
